The oldest known vineyard in Bockenheim
The Holy Church is the oldest known vineyard in Bockenheim. A historic chapel, the “Heiligenkirche”, rises from its center. It dates back to the 14th century, but the first mentions date back to the 7th century. It is the oldest church in the area.
The hillside above Bockenheim also has stony limestone soils. The mineral origins produce dense wines in a unique combination with an animating lightness.
