DFB and Darmstadt 98 choose NEISS Wein on the starting grid

DFB nominations are often hotly debated up and down the country. Who plays, who doesn't? However, the selection criteria for outsiders are rarely as clear and comprehensible as in the wine sector.

For several years now, only wines from German-growing regions have been served at DFB home games, which, following a nationwide call for tenders, have been served together with the German Wine Institute be determined in several covert tasting rounds. For the next two seasons, the line-up is ready just in time for the start of the season:

A total of ten white wines, six red wines and four sparkling wines from well-known wineries from various growing regions were selected by the jury from more than 300 submitted wines and will be served in the VIP area at the home games. The team of white wines also includes our 2022 Pinot Gris from Limestone. This wine from the estate wine line is characterized by juicy, invigorating characteristics - a fresh, fruity, uncomplicated white wine with good drinking flow.

For the first time today, September 8, guests will be able to taste a selection of the new wines and sparkling wines in the VIP areas in Saarbrücken as part of the U21 international match against Ukraine. The next day, there will be an opportunity for the men's season opener against Japan in Wolfsburg.

Since the start of the current Bundesliga season, SV Darmstadt 98 fans have enjoyed a strong line-up of our wines. In addition to Pinot Gris, our That's Neiss wines (red, white and rosé) are offered in the VIP Lounge.
